Michael Dale “Mike” Huckabee (born August 24, 1955) is an American politician, Christian minister, author, and commentator who served as the 44th Governor of Arkansas from 1996 to 2007. He is a candidate for U.S. president in the 2016 election and was a candidate in the 2008 United States Republican presidential primaries. He won the 2008 Iowa Republican caucuses and finished second in delegate count and third in both popular vote and number of states won, behind nominee John McCain and Mitt Romney.
Huckabee announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination in the 2016 presidential election, in Hope, Arkansas on May 5, 2015. It is his second run for the U.S. presidency.
Benjamin Solomon "Ben" Carson, Sr. (born September 18, 1951) is an American retired neurosurgeon who was the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital from 1984 to 2013. He is known for surgical separation of conjoined twins, as well as a bestselling author and political commentator.
